Ampere’s research products track millions of video games, TV, and film titles throughout their lifecycles. The Games Team at Ampere is looking to recruit a full-time Subject Matter Expert to support its leading games research products, which extend to title tracking, market data and forecasting, and consumer surveys.
Ampere's Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our research and commercial teams, serving as key representatives for their specific areas of expertise while engaging with both clients and prospects. The SME for Games will be responsible for: showcasing the depth and scope of Ampere’s gaming research to new and existing clients; attending conferences to present our leading gaming insights and foster connections within the gaming industry; assisting the commercial teams with product demonstrations, research presentations, and client interactions; contributing to the editorial content of research reports and thought leadership pieces; supporting marketing initiatives related to our games research products; and collaborating on custom projects for leading global gaming and entertainment media companies.

Key Responsibilities
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of Ampere’s games research offering and how it can deliver actionable data and meaningful insight to companies operating in the games market
- Use your games industry knowledge and expertise to successfully engage prospects and clients leveraging our leading games market research
- Attend and present at conferences to build awareness of our research and to foster connections across the industry and with prospective clients
- Support the commercial teams by designing and conducting product demonstrations to prospects and clients to illustrate the use cases for our research
- Build presentations using our latest research to engage with new and existing clients
- Support the research teams through editorial output and responding to client queries
- Work closely with the commercial, marketing and research teams to support marketing content and initiatives for the Americas
Skills & Experiences
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum three years of games business experience either working for a games company in a commercial or marketing capacity, or in an organisation adjacent to the sector perhaps as a business journalist focused on games or working for a games-related trade association
- A good knowledge of the games sector and its market trends allowing them to engage at a senior level with prospects in the market
- Deep experience in drafting engaging presentations and presenting insights to senior executives – the SME for games will act as an ambassador for our games research across the Americas
- Excellent writing skills to draft engaging and meaningful editorial output aligned to our games sector research
- A good understanding of the games research landscape with experience of using games data/insights from third-party research providers
- Good interpersonal skills – the role will require ongoing collaboration internally and with external partners and clients
- A high level of pro-activity – the SME for games will have the opportunity to help shape our editorial output and will lead our engagement of prospects in the Americas alongside the sales team
- A keen eye for detail, allied to a systematic approach for multi-tasking and managing multiple projects
