Global box office: 2024 Theatrical revenues down 7% on 2023

Ampere Analysis has updated country-level theatrical box office revenues to reflect reported year-end 2024 data and expectations for 2025 and onwards. Global box office revenues hit $28.1bn at the end of 2024. This represents a decrease of 7% over 2023 and the first year in which the global landscape has been in decline since 2020.
